#WeddingWednesday: Guestbook

So its been a few days since I've been able to blog and I must say, I've been itching to get back into the swing of things! We had a wonderful, fun-filled weekend in Denver (recap coming soon, promise!) and these last two days included me trying to piece my life back together at work and at home.  I finally feel like I can breathe since it's my weekend!  I didn't want to miss this Wednesday to talk about another aspect of my wedding in this week's #WeddingWednesday post!

Today I wanted to highlight my guestbook.  Like every other bride out there, as soon as I knew I was getting engaged (which was before it even happened) I had created a "Wedding" board on Pinterest.  I even got called out by a close friend when I got engaged because she saw me "pinning all this wedding stuff".  I admit, I was a bit obsessed and frankly now I purposely block wedding boards because I know I will never plan another wedding again.  It's sad, I know.

Anyways, one of the ideas that I found on Pinterest that I actually used was a guestbook idea.  Danny and I had our engagement pictures taken and I decided to make a picture book out of it.  I made it in all black and white so we could have guests sign in sliver and black sharpies.  After all our guests signed it, it looked awesome and now we have an amazing keepsake instead of a guestbook that sits on a shelf collecting dust.  We show it off in our living room right next to our wedding album so we can thumb through it often and never forget those memories.

Below are some of the pages in our guestbook:

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Sunday Social

Danny and I are in Denver for the long holiday weekend, so this post is coming to you from CO instead of OH. I know I should have been more prepared and got the questions from Neely ahead of time to write my post, but that would have been way too easy.  Instead I am summoned to type my answers from my tiny iPhone 4S screen.  Well anyways here are the Sunday Social questions for this week!

1. What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?
I would definitely have to say the one I'm on right now, unless today just is really horrible (just kidding!). So far we went on a brew tour, watched our team crush the home baseball team, saw a live impromptu comedy show (very similar to Whose Line is it Anyway?) and a few other things that I will recap when we get back. We both really love Denver and the young, exciting culture it has in the city!

2. What was your favorite outfit/look of the summer?
My favorite look for the summer is a maxi dress. Although they are hard to find since I'm so tall, the ones I do own are so comfortable and very adorable for almost any occasion. I found myself just throwing on a maxi dress with a cute necklace and heading to a summer barbecue or friend gathering a lot this summer. It's a good way to have an easy and comfortable outfit while looking put together.

3. What is one thing you wish you had gotten to do this summer?
Besides staying at home and relaxing more? We definitely had a busy summer! I wish we would have done more things closer to Cleveland (going to Indians games, spending nights downtown, etc.)

4. What was your favorite song of the summer?
Can't Hold Us by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Even though I've heard it enough times of the radio, it's still has a good beat. It's a good go-to workout song for me.

5. What was your favorite movie/tv show of the summer?
My favorite TV show of the summer would have to be Pregnant and Dating. It combined my two favorite things in a good TV show, babies and the struggle to find Mr. Right. It was a good series of episodes and I was sad to see it end.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

High Five for Friday

I apologize for all of the food in this post.  I find myself taking lots of pictures of food throughout the week and then when it's time to put together my High Five for Friday post, I only have food pictures to show for it.  Danny and I are on a plane to Denver right now for our labor day weekend plans, so confession time, I wrote this post a day early on Thursday. Sorry friends.
1. Yankee Candle finally got to me and Danny this week with their fall collection.  Fall candles are probably my favorite for the amazing scents and because I get so excited for fall after summertime. This spiced pumpkin candle was perfection as we wound down from a busy work day this week.
2. Danny and I went to Burger-Fi this week.  Burger-Fi has healthy alternative options to the typical, greasy burgers you can find at fast food joints.  They have a great veggie burger and have an option called, "green style" which means instead of a bun you can get crisp lettuce.  It was delicious and I highly recommend it.
3.  Teddy in the laundry hamper while I was doing laundry this week.  Need I say more?
4. I made fruit salad this week and we discovered Moscato grapes.  I've always loved the taste of sweet Moscato wine, so these grapes resembled the same great taste.
5.  The Target down the street from us is now a super Target.  We went there for the first time this week and I stumbbled across these amazing little healthy desserts.  They're raspberry dark chocolate yogurt for 100 calories.  They are so good and the perfect snack for my work week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Can't wait to recap the fun weekend ahead on Monday.
